Michael has grown SO MUCH! Not just physically, but mentally! He's intellectually 3-6 months ahead of his age group. It's so funny hearing some of the questions and sentences that come out of his little mouth! And what I find even more amazing, is how they are all said or asked at appropriate times! Always in response to something and actually makes sense! "There you go!" "Are you gonna stay here?" "It's a good idea!" "Mmmmm! Tastey!" "Will we, really?" "Sit! See!" "Thank you!" And many more! He is a very good communicator and is full of his own opinions. Even I have a hard time understanding him at times. And he shows frustration when I don't understand him. But once I get a hold of what exactly he's trying to communicate with me, we have some adorable conversations and even laugh together about many things each other says or does! He is a very smart little babe, but he's definitely very active. He gets bored easily and likes things that keep him stimulated. He knows he can't get away with anything when mommy is around, but knows who he can easily persuade to get his way with certain things. I do not underestimate his intelligence one bit, but I am very cautious about not pushing him any further unless he wants to.
Michael hates sitting still, he likes to either be doing something, figuring out a puzzle (how something works/goes together) or watching something like Super Why. He knows when to eat because I always sit him in his high chair, and he'll go to it sometimes when he's hungry, but he doesn't sit in it for long. Within a matter of 5 minutes, he asks to be taken out. Even if he didn't finish his plate, I let him down. I leave the tray on the chair and make sure it's low enough for him to reach his food, and within the hour his tray will be empty. Certain things, like how he eats, I learned to not make into a big deal, as long as he's eating. I'm more strict on things like, he's not allowed to climb the stairs without supervision, he must sit properly while in a chair, and listen the first time mommy tells him to do something because I'm the one who is doing everything possible to protect him. He's learning everyday, we still have a ways to go. But everyday I'm more inspired by how incredible he is and how much he's so willing to learn!
