Most days, she's low. She loves putting pressure on my cervix and my sciatic nerve. I'm prone to falling due to one or both of my legs giving out because of the pressure. And it's so fun watching her entire body move and distort my belly.

Michael has grown SO MUCH! Not just physically, but mentally! He's intellectually 3-6 months ahead of his age group. It's so funny hearing some of the questions and sentences that come out of his little mouth! And what I find even more amazing, is how they are all said or asked at appropriate times! Always in response to something and actually makes sense! "There you go!" "Are you gonna stay here?" "It's a good idea!" "Mmmmm! Tastey!" "Will we, really?"  "Sit! See!" "Thank you!" And many more! He is a very good communicator and is full of his own opinions. Even I have a hard time understanding him at times. And he shows frustration when I don't understand him. But once I get a hold of what exactly he's trying to communicate with me, we have some adorable conversations and even laugh together about many things each other says or does! He is a very smart little babe, but he's definitely very active. He gets bored easily and likes things that keep him stimulated. He knows he can't get away with anything when mommy is around, but knows who he can easily persuade to get his way with certain things. I do not underestimate his intelligence one bit, but I am very cautious about not pushing him any further unless he wants to.
Michael hates sitting still, he likes to either be doing something, figuring out a puzzle (how something works/goes together) or watching something like Super Why. He knows when to eat because I always sit him in his high chair, and he'll go to it sometimes when he's hungry, but he doesn't sit in it for long. Within a matter of 5 minutes, he asks to be taken out. Even if he didn't finish his plate, I let him down. I leave the tray on the chair and make sure it's low enough for him to reach his food, and within the hour his tray will be empty. Certain things, like how he eats, I learned to not make into a big deal, as long as he's eating.  I'm more strict on things like, he's not allowed to climb the stairs without supervision, he must sit properly while in a chair, and listen the first time mommy tells him to do something because I'm the one who is doing everything possible to protect him. He's learning everyday, we still have a ways to go. But everyday I'm more inspired by how incredible he is and how much he's so willing to learn!

15 ᗰOᑎTᕼ ᑌᑭᗪᗩTE

Today Michael turned 15 months!
But I get told by most people that he
either acts 2 or they thought he was 2!

Michael spoke his first sentence 3 days before his 15 month!
"It's a good idea!"

He's trying to feed himself with utensils.
He squats when he goes stinky
He holds out for Mommy's hand to help
him walk down steps
(He refuses to crawl up and down)
He climbs EVERYTHING
He grabs Mommy's hand and places
the object he wants in it or the
object he wants me to have
He nods his head when I do
something he wants
He grunts when moving objects
He makes a specific noise when he
"Wants more" of something
When he sees Mommy's or daddy's
phone lying around, he'll bring it to us

Gives kisses
Blows kisses
Waves hi/bye
Gives hugs
Hand motions to be picked up
Claps
Hi fives
Climbs everything
Walks forwards and backwards
Runs
Twirls in circles
Gives you his cup when he wants more
Lays out blankets or folds out his sleeper sofa when he's tired
Jibber jabbers a LOT

Words we can make out:
 daddy/dada
Said Papa to Papaw yesterday
 thank you
 there
 did it
Gizzy
Different words can be made out at random times.

Michael is a pro at walking and climbing things! (He took his first step at 10 1/2 months!) He has certainly gained a few bruises due to trial-and-error from getting up and off a chair. He is attached to Mommy's hip, he loves the outdoors, and he loves other kids! He is SUPER social, very sweet, and (I'm very proud to say) plays very nicely with others. He's learning new things constantly and is so full of love, energy, laughter, and goofiness! He can put a smile on any body's face! Recently he's become a Brand Rep and Baby Model for a couple different (young) brands and we're loving it! He's definitely very photogenic and most people love his pictures!

So, in case you saw my IG pic on what a crazy day we had, here's what we did in "celebration" of his 15 months:

This morning seemed to go smoothly, until Michael took a stinky that filled up his diaper and ran down his leg. He HATES baths, but that's what we had to give him!
He's currently teething: his back molars are coming in; they've already cut through. I'm guessing this is what is causing him to be a little runny, he doesn't have a fever and he acts normal otherwise. However, we have to give him a prescribed cream for a rash he's getting due to the runs.  :( poor baby...
After getting him cleaned up and changed, we snuggled and he fell asleep for his afternoon nap. Not even ten minutes after he woke up, one of our dogs, Gizzy, became ridiculously crazy when the mail lady arrived. She began running all over the place. Michael was on all fours at the time and is the same height as Gizzy where he was at... Well, she face planted him and tore his attachment! (The thin attachment between his top lip and gums.) I took him into the ER because I had no idea how bad it really was. Luckily, it will heal on it's own in a few days.
Once we realized he'd be ok, we decided to get back to our original plans for the day... Finish with the wedding plans...
We picked up my Mamaw and met my aunt out at the park we will have our Vow Renewal Ceremony and Reception. It's absolutely gorgeous, and we got there right at the time a wedding had ended so it was perfect for them to get an idea of what exactly I had going on in my head.
We only have to finish with dress alterations (I waited until last minute because I didn't know how fast I would show with this second pregnancy), get the food and figure out what speakers well use for music.
So, for Michael turning 15 months, it sure was a FULL day of surprises and last minute planning.
I'm so in love with my little man and wish he didn't have to suffer so much today. But I'm sure it's all just apart of growing up and I'm so excited to be his momma and continue to grow with him!

ᗷIᖇTᕼ ᔕTOᖇY

By the time I had found out I was pregnant, I already knew my birth plan... Nubian and Epidural! And once I got further along in pregnancy, I wanted to be induced no more than a couple days after my due date (if Michael happened to come late).

My OBGYN was so on target with me.  I was so grateful when SHE was the one who came out and asked if I'd like to be induced on April the 18th. (Two days after my due date.)

Brandon and I had everything packed up the day before the induction. It felt like Christmas for me. "THIS BABY IS FINALLY GETTING OUT OF HERE!!!"
I could hardly sleep. However, I wasn't sleeping very well with a huge belly to begin with. I was out on the couch again with my body pillow, trying to fight back excitement and acid reflux...

As soon as it was time to go, we were ready. We arrived a little before 7:30 am and were taken back to a nice, spacious corner room. I was hooked up to an IV and pitocin. (I hope I remember that word right?) the day went by nicely. I had windows all around so the room was bright with natural light and I had fun just hanging out with Brandon. In the early afternoon, my grandparents came to visit for a few hours. We played cards and I watched them eat. (I was on a liquid only diet.)

My contractions were consistent, but weren't doing anything. My intake was pushed up a bit on the pitocin a couple times. Once it hit 5pm my OBGYN came and popped my water. Now that was weird! All of my internal juices poured out of me like a waterfall on this lady's hands! I couldn't believe how much kept gushing out! I gotta say, I felt a little bit of relief. But that didn't las for long.

Within half an hour, my contractions worsened. They started coming in stronger and closer. I hated it! I wanted the epidural and I wanted it "Now!" I had been planning to have an epidural, but I wasn't expecting the contractions to kick in so bad and so fast! The lady performing epidural had two ladies waiting ahead of me already, so I asked them about the medicine I saw my Aunt take for her child. I found out it was called Nubain and told them to give me that while I waited.

As soon as the drugs leaked into my veins, I felt such a sudden relief and everything was just beautiful. I was so relaxed and so happy, and Brandon started laughing when I let out a moan-like, "Oooooh Yeaaaah."

I will do it this way every time I give birth from now on. Get the Nubain while I wait for the Epidural. There is NO WAY I would've been able to sit still for the lady poking a giant needle in my back when I had a contraction! No way at all! That Nubain did me wonders! And once that Epidural was all set up and I had a drug button to push for myself, I knew this was the best labor ever. Technology really does have it's perks! As soon as the nurses helped me lay down comfortably... I was OUT COLD and sleeping through my labor like it was no one's business.

During this time, my aunt visited. It was nice to know that Brandon was able to have company while I was off in La-La-Land.

I was already dilated a few CM before I even was induced. But I couldn't tell you the exact number. The nurses kept coming in every hour (I think?) to flip me to my other side and check my dilation. It was right around 3:30 am that they decided I was dilated enough. There was just a nip of cervix they needed to hold out of the way while I pushed a bit.

At 3:40 they had me start pushing. Once past the cervix we were good to go. Only a half hour of pushing and they made me STOP!!! With my son's head RIGHT THERE. "I'm pushing! I can't not push! What in the world?" You could say I was kinda freaking out. They were running to get my doctor. Apparently they didn't expect me to push him out as fast as I did! "Is she running?! Please get here soon!" I kept rambling until she got there. "Oh thank god! Can I push?!"

On April 19, 2013 at 4:22 am, Michael was no longer living inside mommy.

Brandon cut the cord and followed Michael with the nurses over to the baby table. The thing was, Michael wasn't crying...

At first I thought, "Wow I'm so lucky, I have an automatic happy baby." I was so drugged up I didn't realize anything was wrong with him until I heard Brandon sounding worried. "What does that mean?" He asked them as they talked about our son in low numbers. I started to fill with panic, then as though he sensed my fear, a piercing cry filled the room and I immediately began to cry along with my son.

The nurses wiped him down and brought him over to me. I held my baby boy for the first time after 40 weeks of carrying him. I couldn't believe how small and perfect he was. He was born with dark hair and blue eyes "Exactly what you wanted," Brandon said with his own tears in his eyes.

We were only allowed to hold our son for a few minutes until the nurses took him over to NICU. He had swallowed amniotic fluid on his way out, which was why he couldn't breathe or cry until they had cleared his airway.

Michael continued to recover and we were released to go home after 2 more nights in the hospital.

I'm so grateful for Michael and the joy he's brought me. He has grown so much in these last 14 months and I am looking forward to spending many more years loving and protecting him.
